北伊利诺伊大学Dr. Jifu Tan课题组诚邀优秀学子加入

The Multiphysics modeling group in Mechanical Engineering at Northern Illinois University (NIU) is inviting applications for funded PhD positions to join the research team. The group is made of graduate and undergraduate students working on various exciting projects such as large-scale blood flow modeling, clot mechanics, parallel computing with CPUs and GPUs, design and optimization, and physics guided deep learning.

The group has access to excellent high performance computational facilities both at NIU and Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) through close collaborations. Dr. Tan is also a guest faculty to ANL. In the past, several students out of the group have worked at ANL as interns during the summer. The alumni from the group have successfully landed positions in Boeing, SIEMENS, Navistar, United Imaging Healthcare.

NIU is located at Dekalb, IL, which is about 75 minutes driving to Chicago. Chicago is a city of boundless energy, diverse culture, and iconic architecture.
